Bert Weedon - King Size Guitar

Digitally remastered edition of this 1960 album from the British guitarist. His name may be relatively little known these days but there is no denying the influence that Bert wielded among later guitar players: Hank Marvin, Eric Clapton and Brian May were among the guitarists who paid tribute to him on This Is Your Life, whilst fellow performers Phil Collins, Adam Faith and Lonnie Donegan are also fulsome in their praise. After single success with 'Guitar Boogie Shuffle' it did not take Top Rank long to ask Bert for an album, with King Size Guitar becoming a Top 20 hit in July 1960. Hallmark.
