Beck: Episodes 32-34

IN SWEDISH WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES / He's got no style or flash, but Swedish detective Martin Beck is superb at one thing: methodically catching criminals and putting them away. He's joined in these episodes by Steinar Hovland, (Game of Thrones) an accomplished investigator from Oslo, Norway, whose relaxed manner belies his killer drive in the interrogation room. Beck learns to work with his new colleague but also finds out that Steiner brings with him the baggage of a complicated home life. The two men have a lot in common, however. They both possess an astuteness about human nature, unerring instincts and the competence that comes from decades of solving crimes. Off the job, Martin may be a loner but he's not anti-social; he regularly sees his daughter, with whom he has a better relationship now than when he was neglecting her as a child. And at the end of a workday, there's always an interesting conversation and a nightcap with a neighbor who gives new meaning to the word quirky. / EPISODE 32: STEINAR - An unidentified body is found in the remains of a fire in a run-down trailer park. In the middle of the investigation an internal power struggle grips Becks team, making an already difficult case even harder. / EPISODE 33: END OF THE ROAD - In a quiet suburb, a former police officer, his wife and their 10-year-old son are brutally murdered in their home. Becks team finds fingerprints at the crime scene from a criminal who was involved in a robbery four years ago. / EPISODE 34: THE LAST DAY - Two traffic officers try to stop a car for speeding. The driver gets out and shoots, killing one of them in cold blood. A national search for the ruthless killer ensues, with Becks team in the lead.
