Artists of the 20th Century: Joan Miró

Born near Barcelona in 1893, Joan Miro was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona at the age of 14. Before 1920, his work shows wide-ranging influences, including the bright colors of the Fauves and the broken form of Cubism.
