Around the World in 80 Days (1989)

Based on Jules Verne's novel, this Australian-produced cartoon series aired from 1972-73. Commoner Phileas Fogg has fallen madly in love with the upscale Belinda Maze, much to the consternation of her uncle, Lord Maze. To win the lady's hand, Fogg bets Lord Maze that he can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days. His difficult task is made even tougher by Mr. Fix, who's been hired by the Lord to sabotage the trip.
