There are some well-educated aesthetes and provocateurs that are willing to bring a breath of fresh air and a cleansing break to clichés. Autonomous and creative minds making their own entertainment and disinclined to follow today's trends. Some will say that it is just romanticism, or narcissism of a self-chosen few as a remedy for the poverty of everyday life. Others will call it aesthetic perfectionism, sly postmodernist games or fervent evangelism of pop (the only pure faith and devotion is music, isn't it?). There is obviously something brewing at the factory of Anne Arbour, a nurturing environment for pop songs. Along with a passion for concept, melodies and presentation, Peter Anne (the intel shows that he was once pulling the strings of Penelope Trip. Edwin Moses and Vigil) and Nathalie Arbor (her voice is very similar to the lead singer's of Nosoträsh), they share a meticulously groomed and detailed-oriented sensibility. They are somehow seasoned veterans and strategists in the indie scene (they were never über-hipsters though) and this record is part of their master plan. Is this the Next Big Thing in Music? Not really but a wave of positivity is here and we sincerely hope that the pop weather changes in their favor. Are musicians the lowest form of life? I am afraid it's the opposite, isn't it?
