Andy Statman - On Air

Born in Brooklyn but taught bluegrass through mandolin lessons, Andy Statman gained repute in the bluegrass field by working with Country Cooking and cofounding Breakfast Special. The diverse set of "world music" songs on "On Air" were recorded live "Sparkasse in concert" at Radio Bremen Sendesall in Bremen, Germany, May 8th, 2003. Andy plays both clarinet and mandolin and is joined by Jim Whitney on acoustic bass and Larry Eagle on drums and percussion.
