Amygdaloids - All in Our Minds

The Amygdaloids are a New York City band made up of scientists who shed their scientific garb at night and take to the stage with songs about love and life peppered with insights drawn from research about mind and brain and mental disorders. 'All in Our Minds' is the group's third record. Like the other two, 'All in Our Minds' continues the band's signature song writing about mind and brain. Lenny Kaye (famed guitarist of the Patti Smith Band) has played with The Amygdaloids and had this to say about their music. 'The band's songs are drawn from the simplest of pop formalities- a touch of country, a slice of garage-rock-and the lyrics speak to the layman in all of us, our shared sense of cortex and medulla, and the way music makes our backbone twitch, our butt funky, and our feet keep a-slappin' on the floor, whether we're thinking about it or not.'
