Aloise

In the 1910s, Swiss dressmaker Aloïse Corbaz obtained a teacher's position in the court of Kaiser Wilhelm I, but she developed a romantic fixation with the leader that would see her institutionalized for the remainder of her life. The erotic drawings she produced in the asylum would find her championed as an outsider artist. Liliane de Kermadec's biopic casts Isabelle Huppert and Delphine Seyrig in the title role, as teenager and grown woman; Michael Lonsdale co-stars. 117 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English; bonus shorts "Qui Donc a Rêvé?" (1965), "Couleurs Folie" (1986). In French with English subtitles.
