It was the winter of '88, Chicago kid Jake Doyle (Winslow Fegley) was fixated in getting his hands on a Nintendo NES-and he knew that his videogame-loathing parents (Steve Zahn, June Diane Raphael) were going to be an impossible sell. As he and his cronies concoct schemes to raise and pool cash to get the precious system, he might wind up with a lesson about the season.
