2015 release. 2Methyl's first full length album is both a feast for the dancefloor and an example of creativity. Following the Orb EP, Layer 8 is a hard, fast album of futuristic dark drum 'n' bass. But it is also an example of how to bring this genre forward while staying true to its energy. Very complex and detailed, the nine tracks of this album play with the rules of modern day's drum 'n' bass and burst out of their restraints, resulting in an album whose horizon is beyond the dancefloor and which impresses by its magnitude and originality.
