This recording of William Shakespeare's Othello features selected scenes from the classic drama. The recording stars the African American stage actor William Marshall as Othello, the Moor of Venice, with Ludi Claire as Desdemona, Jay Robinson as Iago, and Martin Donegan as Cassio. The sound quality is very good, and the vocal performance clear and well paced. Robinson gives a chilling performance as the villainous Iago. The liner notes contain the text of the selected scenes from the performance and brief biographical sketches of the actors.
