Although the Skull Snaps self titled album contains drum breaks that have been sampled many times on various hip-hop records by well known acts such as Ol' Dirty Bastard, Das EFX, Eric B. & Rakim, Digable Planets, DJ Shadow, Rob Dougan, Black Moon, Guru and the Prodigy, the funk group released only one album in 1973 before disappearing.
