The Rodeo Beatniks are a local quartet of seasoned musicians with diverse, yet intermeshed backgrounds. They've blended their varied influences into a sound which is truly their own. Their music can be described as a fun alternative to "adult/alternative" music, rendering tunes that range in style from "tin pan alley," to "country blues," to "folk rock," variously composed/delivered with humor, satire, irony & pathos. The Rodeo Beatnik's menu features Jane's succulent song stylings, Toby's spirited sauce, and Walter's pan-seared vocals served with a medley of Keith's embellishments on the side. As customary, the arrangements are trimmed lean, served on wry and garnished with a zesty enthusiasm. The Rodeo Beatniks are currently performing in support of their first CD, "No Prior Record," from which several selections have received airplay on University of Penn's WXPN "Sleepy Hollow" program. Presently, they are recording material for their up-coming CD, due for release early in 2007.
