The Call: More Songs From The Lonesome Prairie is Volume 2 of Rick's arrangements and recordings of traditional cowboy songs. The award winning* title track, written by Rick, is an ode to keeping the western tradition alive! It has been nominated for The Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Award Best Western Song. Rick, a descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody, is a two time winner of the Marlboro Country Music Tour Contest. He has shared the stage with George Strait, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, The Judds, Joe Ely, Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, B.J. Thomas and cowboy poet Waddie Mitchell. As an actor, Rick portrayed the role of Jim in the original Chicago production of Pump Boys and Dinettes and also starred in and directed Foxfire. He is featured in the films: Major League, While You Were Sleeping, U.S. Marshals and Soul Survivors. He has appeared in many TV programs, guest-starring in The Untouchables, E.R., Early Edition, Turks and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. *Winner Great American Song Contest: The Call.
