Sin Shake Sin - Lunatics and Slaves

SIN SHAKE SIN is the new project from producer/songwriter Stacy Hogan. He wrote all the songs, played all the instruments, sang, recorded, produced and mixed the project himself. You may already know and like his work. In the last 2 years, Stacy Hogan has written over 10 major label songs for other artists across multiple genres, including 2 Billboard Top 10 Hard Rock singles. After consistently licensing his music for TV shows & commercials as well as winning multiple songwriting awards in 2013, he decided to begin his new project, Sin Shake Sin. After successfully meeting it's crowd-funding goals when the project first debuted as a Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, Sin Shake Sin is now set to release it's debut album on 6.3.14. Sin Shake Sin is a fresh new experience in indie/alt rock. The music is a bold, unique and instantly recognizable signature mix of industrial rock, southern old school blues, and in your face pop hooks. The sound paints a scenario of a group of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Awolnation, Nirvana, Muse, and the White Stripes kidnapping the music director of HBO's True Blood, then moving to a swamp in the deep south and recording an epic 'industrial pop/rock electro-swamp' album. (Stacy recorded the entire album on an 8 string guitar to give it it's low and dirty "swamp" sound.) It's refreshing and new while paying homage to a vast array of influences. The concept - It's about awareness. The power of information vs. The power of misinformation. It's about no longer sitting by idley while your life gets controlled by others who are only looking out for themselves. It deals with one of the most dangerous epidemics we face today: Complacent Ignorance. The album - This concept album is an 11 song story full of anthems. From the first song till the very last note, you're on a journey and a fight. It's about freeing yourself from whatever shackles you in life... going through all the emotions and stages of anger, frustration, to the fight and resistance.. to the absolute celebration and joy that comes from taking your life back from those who try to control you. This is not Stacy's first successful music endeavor as an artist. His previous rock project, Lovers and Liars, was signed to Universal Republic in 2010. His earlier project 'Spout' was also a highly acclaimed rock band that still sell plenty of albums today even though the band hasn't created new music since 2006. Stacy has been a professional studio musician since he was 15, soon taking his talents to Nashville, TN doing session work for many artists including playing on albums of all genres including Grand Ole Opry legends. He quickly made the transition from session musician to producer/entrepreneur when he created his own widely successful production/licensing/publishing company at age 24.
