Roxette - Room Service: 25th Anniversary

Roxette's seventh studio album, Room Service, arrived in spring 2001 and now feels like the closing chapter of the duo's original golden era, before Marie Fredriksson's brain tumour diagnosis in 2002 brought things to an indefinite halt. It's a sleek, synth-driven pop record with Per Gessle's gift for huge hooks all over The Centre Of The Heart and Real Sugar, while Milk And Toast And Honey remains one of those quietly enduring highlights, carried by Fredriksson's unmistakably warm, emotional voice.
