Mark Wahlberg is Izzy Cole, the lead singer of a band that covers songs by famed heavy metal group Steel Dragon. When the real Steel Dragon's lead singer drops out, Izzy eagerly auditions for and wins the job, dumping his girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston) for what he thinks will be a life of fame and wild fun.
