Nita Whitaker - Keep a Little Christmas

It's been seven years since her last recording, but Nita is back with her first ever Christmas album, titled 'Keep a Little Christmas'. This album melds both sacred and secular music using several musical genres which best reflect Nita's full-spectrum vocals. She was groomed as a child with gospel music, added in some classical training later, and honed it all as a session and live singer of pop music. Her musical style defies definition, but as Nita was described by one reviewer, 'she is a powerhouse with both range and beauty". Having been mentored by legendary producer David Foster, Nita has kept company and stages with many other artists including, Barbara Streisand, Michael Buble', Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton, and Patti Austin. Two years ago, she penned an award-winning memoir titled, 'Finding My Voice'. The eleven songs specifically chosen for this special project include classic and familiar as well as original songs that are destined to become new Christmas classics. One special song was a gift from friend and six-time Grammy winner BeBe Winans and is a duet with Nita's talented daughter Liisi LaFontaine, who has also sung on both screen and stage. Listeners and music insiders, alike, have declared that 'Keep a Little Christmas' will be a Christmas standard for years and generations to come, as the songs have eternal and timeless themes of love, peace, joy, and the true meaning of Christmas.
