For waiter Arjun (Dev Patel) and his chef boss Hemant Oberoi (Anupam Kher), their November 2008 morning at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace Hotel started much like any other. However, as their posh business became a key target during a heinous and bloody four-day siege of the city by fundamentalist terrorists, they faced a grueling challenge keeping guests, colleagues-and themselves-alive.
