Hailer - Good Canyon

HAILER is a band of three that met while looking for a similar path. With five years of escapades under the Hailer belt - Phil, Angus and Scott resolved to lay it all down for their first long player, Good Canyon. The debut was completed in four blurry days at Damien Gerard studio's Balmain bunker, with finishing touches added at the Judson ranch in the Blue Mountains - complete with producer Liam Judson's (CLOUD CONTROL, BELLES WILL RING) self-patented and mysterious echo chamber. The record rolls from the sweet and dreamy to the deep, paranoid and mystical and recalls the musicality of WILCO and RADIOHEAD, the psychedelia of VELVET UNDERGROUND and SPIRITUALIZED, the swagger of the ROLLING STONES and TELEVISION and the songwriting ethos of BOB DYLAN and NEIL YOUNG.
