Buffet Froid

In Buffet Froid, Blier constructs a world where logic has been subtly, persistently removed. Gérard Depardieu plays a man drifting through a chain of absurd events that include inexplicable violence and indifferent authority figures. The humor is dry and often unsettling, as if the film itself is questioning the need for coherence. It is less a thriller than an experiment in tone, where unease replaces suspense.
