Black Robe

In the winter of 1634, young Jesuit priest Paul LaForgue (Lothaire Bluteau) was tasked with leading a party on a 1500-mile mission west from Quebec to bring Christianity to a Huron village. The perilous wilderness journey for the father and his Algonquin companions is strikingly limned in Bruce Beresford's acclaimed, gorgeously photographed story co-starring Aden Young, Sandrine Holt, Tantoo Cardinal, August Schellenberg; Brian Moore adapted his novel for the screen.
