Review Text
Former frontmen for Twin Cities power pop/art-rock sensation 44, Pat Gibbons and Dan Hylton dialed it back a few notches for this contemplative, mellow collection of songs. Dedicated to Dan's North Minneapolis neighborhood of Camden, the style on this album incorporates acoustic guitars, close harmonies, and only vaguely traditional rock arrangements; while drawing upon influences ranging from folk-rock to east Indian. 'The duo of Pat and Dan have crafted here a rich, sophisticated, clever and earnest work that is immensely satisfying to pop-weary ears. It is evident these two musicians have taken much care with each track; working to develop and nurturing each individual layer as if it were an only child. Their commitment to the project shines through on this multi-textured, harmony-laden album and gives the listener new, unexpected joys with each successive listen.' (Minnesota Sound - 2003)
