Review Text
While still in high school, Jim Palana became part of the vibrant folk music community centered in Boston and southeastern New England during the 1960's. He has performed on stages in the United States, Europe, Great Britain and Ireland, and continues to play his own songs while paying tribute to the songwriters who influenced him in his youth, such as Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, Eric Andersen, Gordon Lightfoot, Tim Hardin, Fred Neil, Paul Siebel, Danny O'Keefe and Jerry Jeff Walker. Jim released his first recording BACK IN TOWN in 1983, followed by STORIES & TRUTH in 1996, HERE AND GONE in 2003, and his newest OLD HEAD in 2013. As far as his recording career goes, he feels that he is becoming more efficient. '...his ability as a tunesmith is unmistakable...'
