Director Jim Sheridan's (My Left Foot, the Boxer) political docudrama about Irish citizen Gerry Conlon who is falsely implicated in the IRA bombing of a pub in London. Bullied by the British police, he and four of his friends are coerced into confessing their guilt. Gerry's father and other relatives are also implicated in the same crime. He spends 14 years in prison with his father trying to prove his innocence with the help of a British attorney. Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Emma Thompson, John Lynch and Pete Postlethwaite.
