I have always loved instrumental music from my childhood. I play and record 'vocal songs' too, which definitely have their place, but that place is not on the CD Electric Detective. This CD title was inspired by a Pat Travers instrumental of the same name. This music was recorded over a 3 year period which culminated in mixing at he major recording facility Conway Studios in Los Angeles. I met and hung out with Bob Seger who was recording while we were mixing there. We also had the pleasure of mastering the recording at the superbly equiped A&M studios (now Jim Henson studios) also in Los Angeles. This music is my first attempt at creating hook driven instrumental guitar music, and still stands up well as time goes by.
