ARTPLA Four Heavenly Kings Shitenno Jikokuten Model Kit

The guardian deity of the East is now available as a high-resolution injection kit!

Kaiyodo has produced many "hand-held replicas of the highest quality" that capture the characteristics of artworks and statues through precision and exquisite balance, achieved through thorough observation. The Plamokei series of three-dimensional "Buddha statues" attempts to express this technology in injection kits!

The first in the series is a Plamokei version of "Jikokuten," one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Buddhist deities that protect the principal image of a temple or shrine from all four sides, holding a trident and glaring with a sharp gaze. Among the Four Heavenly Kings, Jikokuten is located to the east (front left) of the principal image.

This approximately 160mm tall statue perfectly captures the presence and intricate detail of the statue when held in hand. The statue's tightly closed mouth, piercing gaze, armor and clothing inspired by those worn by Chinese Tang Dynasty warriors, and a static yet powerful presence all perfectly capture the atmosphere of the real Jikokuten statue. Each detail, such as the trident spear held in the left hand, the rough-looking base, and the dynamic sashes hanging to the left and right, are also meticulously crafted.

The subtle textures of the armor's surface, a highlight of Jikokuten, are also faithfully recreated, as are the carvings that express the texture of different materials such as cloth, leather, and skin. To prevent the fine details and distinctive curves of each part from being crushed by the mold molding process, the parts have been skillfully separated to ensure a beautiful finished product. In particular, even the small parts such as the ears and shoulder pads of the armor are sculpted with high precision, expressing the beautiful appearance down to the smallest detail.

In addition, by minimizing the number of parts, it is possible to assemble the figure of the Jikkokuten statue, which is formed by a combination of complex curved surfaces, in a simple assembly process.

The Four Heavenly Kings statues, with their incredible sculpting, are being made into Plamokei one after another! Following on from Jikokuten, who protects the East, the release of the Four Heavenly Kings statues has been decided! Tamonten, who protects the North, Komokuten, who protects the West, and Zochoten, who protects the South, each statue's individuality is faithfully sculpted, including their facial expressions and armor.

The Four Heavenly Kings statues are truly complete only when all four are lined up. We hope you will experience their majesty and presence through Plamokei.
