Tears Run Rings - Question & An Answer

It would be difficult to avoid comparing this dense, sweeping production to shoegaze veterans Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine- but this is not imitation or ritual. TRR have artfully defined their sound with a subtly seldom expressed by their predecessors. The title track is guided by beautifully layered guitars & controlled noise, at times bursting with rich detail. It dazzles with emotions that swirl up into a crescendo of distortion & ambient sound. Elsewhere, the distinct poppiness of Blur the Lines & Tomorrow is underlined with a sadness fashioned of boy-girl harmonies. 5 song CDEP in digipak
