'Wild ride' received rave reviews when originally released in July 2004. It proved to be the vehicle to take Steve Forde and the flange to a new level, a "career defining" release. The album saw Steve and his band hit several major tours, having been invited to do shows with the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Adam brand and Shannon Noll, as well as international recording artists Mark Chesnutt and Rhett Akins. The band was even invited to Las Vegas.
