Debut album from Sweden's brightest shining indie pop hope. The first single 'Between the lines' was pure indie guitar pop, gorgeous lazy melodies wrapped around fuzzy guitars and far away tambourines. Still, this album exceeds every expectation. Formed in an apartment in 2003 Sambassadeur are Jkoachim Lackberg- guitar, Anna Person - vocal & guitar, Daniel Tolergard - bass and Daniel Permbo - vocal and guitar. The band cite influences such as the Go betweens, France Gall and wire, and one listen to their highly infectious album will bring to mind the likes of shop Assistants, Belle & Sebastian and Radio Dep. 'Between the lines ' was somewhat of an indie hit not only in Sweden, but also in the UK where it was play listed at XFM and BBC. This might just be the Scandinavian album of the year.
