This album, recorded in the 1960s and 1970s, is a selection of traditional songs and dances from Juchitán and Tehuantepec, two of the principal cities of the Isthmus. Side I includes songs with guitar accompaniment; side II offers instrumental music played by a brass band and a flute and drum combination.
