Crowded House - Woodface - Deluxe SHM Edition

This release is part of the uDiscovermusic series, a new standard lineup for Universal Music's international catalog developed overseas and in Japan to serve as a place for "encounters with new music" by re-releasing masterpieces. It features Crowded House's third album, Woodface, released in 1991, which officially integrated Neil Finn's brother, Tim Finn, into the lineup, resulting in a wealth of collaboratively written songs. Co-produced by Mitchell Froom and Neil Finn and mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the album's sophisticated pop was highly praised, with the vocals and harmonies on co-written tracks like "Chocolate Cake," "It's Only Natural," the UK No. 7 smash "Weather With You," and "Four Seasons in One Day" drawing comparisons to The Beatles. While it peaked at No. 82 in the United States, the album was a major international success, hitting No. 1 in New Zealand, No. 2 in Australia, and entering the charts at No. 6 in the UK, with strong performances across Europe. This 2016 version 2CD deluxe edition reissues the 30th Anniversary 2-disc configuration, including a bonus disc of 21 valuable takes, such as home demos, early rehearsal versions, and the live "Burglars Song" medley. This set is presented on SHM-CD specification and includes liner notes, English liner translation, lyrics, and Japanese translation.
