Out on M83's new imprint Other Suns, this record grapples with questions of spirituality, technology, and their intersection. It is a dystopian landscape where sounds seem stretched, exhausted, resigned to echoing their own decay. The album draws comparisons to Blade Runner's soundscape reimagined by Oneohtrix Point Never, or a Philip Glass Koyaanisqatsi replaced by synthesizers.
