Big Sir took shape when the Mars Volta's Juan Alderete de la Pena and vocalist Lisa Papineau (Air, M83) discovered they both shared a taste for the fluid side of rock. The LA Weekly said, "Big Sir is a soulful, solid groove smorgasbord complimented with toy box nuance and subtle sonic humor."
