In 2013, 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast Olga (Anastasiia Budiashkina) arrived in her late father's Swiss homeland to train for the European Gymnastics Championships. Beyond his struggles to fit in and being faced with renouncing her citizenship to make the national team, she's torn as her journalist mother (Tanya Mikhina) and all those she left behind get caught up in the Euromaidan uprising.
