Jude

Sumptuously filmed version of Thomas Hardy's "Jude the Obscure" details the life of Jude Fawley (Christopher Eccleston), a stonemason with intellectual aspirations in late-19th-century England. After a failed marriage, Fawley enrolls in college and there meets his cousin Sue Bridehead (Kate Winslet), with whom he falls in love. But their relationship soon leads to exile and tragedy.
