In 1929, German doctor Friedrich Ritter (Jude Law) and wife Dore (Vanessa Kirby) left their bourgeois existence behind for an uninhabited island in the Galapagos. Tales of their adventure soon drew admirers Heinz and Margret Wittmer (Daniel Bruhl, Sydney Sweeney), and then entrepreneurial baroness Eloise Wehrborn (Ana de Armas), to the atoll-but the new community would prove to have it's hostilities and deadly secrets.
