After a lifetime on the road, all that aging Wyoming trucker "Elegant" John Howard (Henry Fonda) got out of it was to see his rig repossessed during a hospital stay. John thought he had one last haul in him, though, so he chose to steal his truck back and help his favorite local madam (Eileen Brennan) and her entire staff relocate operations down South!
