Man in a Cocked Hat (aka Carlton-Browne of the F.O.)

After Britain forgot that it granted independence to a tiny island nation 40 years earlier, it faced a scramble to head off the ex-colony's dealings with the Soviets over valuable mineral resources. Unfortunately, the job was in the hands of hapless Foreign Office functionary Cadogan de Vere Carlton-Browne (Terry-Thomas), who may be played like a fiddle by the prime minister (Peter Sellers).
