Percussionist BJ (Anderson.Paak, who directed and co-wrote) had been mired playing at the same Los Angeles karaoke club for 15 years-until the invite came to join the band for Seoul's preeminent K-pop reality competition show. As he looks for his footing, he finds himself bonding with awkward young contestant Tae (Soul Rasheed)... and upon learning the kid is actually his son, tries to school him to the win.
