1 Uppers is a country band. A band that is all about sad songs, memorable melodies, tight harmonies, guitar solos and matching suits. Having playing for years in Seattle bands (Jon Hyde Band, Transmissionary Six, Jumbalassy, Varmint (with Wayne Horvitz and Robin Holcomb), Dudley Manlove Quartet, Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter, David Russell, Swains... this list goes on!!) the member of 1 Uppers decided it was time to form a new band and go a new direction: Country Music. 1 Uppers formed in the name of making real old-school original country music.
