Duke "Captain Yankee" Howard (Christopher Connelly) had a pretty sweet con working in Malaysia, as he guided gullible one-percenters into thinking they were going on actual treasure quests. While a U.S. government operative (Lee Van Cleef) got wise, he'd keep his mouth shut... if the good captain shepherded a museum expedition on a hunt for a cursed ruby.
