Review Text
A vocalist who sang with the orchestras of Louis Armstrong in the late 1930’s, Duke Ellington and Luis Russell in the early 1950’s, Bobbe (Bobbie) Caston’s last known recording was a early R&B affair on the tiny New York based Atlas Records label “Call Me Darling, Call Me Sweetheat, Call Me Dear” b/w “Why Wasn’t I Told,” released in 1958. “Call Me Darling” is actually a modern update of the same song Bobbe recorded in 1947 with Teddy Buckner and his orchestra. Presented here is the original 45 RPM issue, newly remastered. This product is an authorized manufactured on demand CD-R
