Wesley's dream, as he put it, is 'To enrich people's lives and my own through music.' Despite his sometimes scruffy demeanor and hometown boy image, Wesley Cook has spent most of his life living abroad in countries like Germany and South Korea. As Wesley noted, 'Where I grew up has a lot to do with the music I make. I try to incorporate a broad spectrum of musical genres, ranging from folk to flamenco, blues and gypsy.' Recently featured on the iTunes 'Essential Athens Collection' with REM and the B-52's, Wesley is renowned for his unique style and well-crafted acoustic melodies. He's earned a reputation as a rising star on the Southeastern indie scene, as a talent that's, 'already made a solid entry into this often-bland world of copyists and caricatures.' (Flagpole Magazine) Songs like 'Tasty Devil Woman' and 'So Long', both re-released singles from his freshman album 'We've Been Here Before', are receiving great reviews on websites like iTunes and Amazon. Cook, who just finished a summer concert series in South America, celebrates the release of his new album 'New Ground'. Wesley Cook is humble and eternally grateful to his fans.
