The desire to sing was placed in Vaneta's heart as a child while listening to her elder brothers and sisters sing in various churches in Illinois. She began singing in high school, performing in various plays and nightclubs. Since then she has performed and toured the world with various artists and had the distinction of touring with the late Ray Charles as one of the 'Rayletts'! Vaneta has been described as having the ability to make the listener feel the true essence of the music. She has also co-wrote the hit song 'Am I Losing You' with Chante Moore for her 'A Love Supreme' Album. Through all of her pop and R&B success she remains deeply rooted in her faith.
