Spawned from the Southwest's merchants, 'Rumpleforeskin', Uncle Rumple emerged on the scene to continue the onslaught of Hard Rock and Metal through the underworld of NE Oklahoma and nearby states. Bored with nightclubs and cover tunes the boys put away the fog machines and laser lights to embark on the endeavor of creating some original tunes to vent the anxieties pent up over the years and share the defining moments of life on and off the road. 'Next of Skin' peels back the layers of day to day life to reveal the more memorable relationships with fans, friends and band mates encountered in the span of years since demise of Rumpleforeskin. Though the music is dark, complex and forboding, the emotions and lyrics are truly enlightening. Offered up as an eight course meal fit for a Hard Rock King, 'Next of Skin' feeds the mind, body, spirit and soul of your music hunger! Rod 'Uncle Rumple' Irving - Guitars & Vocals; Robert 'The Towering Inferno' Green - Guitars & Vocals; Steve 'Captain Galaxy' Gaither - Bass & Vocals and Dr. Roland Five - Drums, Samples and attitude. This collection of tunes received three awards from Billboard Magazine's Songwriters contest. Before it's demise, the television serial 'Witchblade' expressed interest in using two of the album's tunes for the upcoming season's background music. More recently we have been courted by 'Next Monkey Productions' for the inclusion of 'Invitation to Dance' in the soundtrack of their upcoming horror film 'Stitcher'. After Rod suffered a life crippling accident, the band parted ways. After several years of recovery and rehabillitation he has reached a point he is again able to perform. The band has reformed with new members and is presently working on new material and an all original show. Uncle Rumple now features Rex Gaither on Keyboards and Donavan Redwood on drums along with original members Steven Gaither and Rod Irving.
