In the fall of 1998 three 7th graders came together and played the first notes of a musical collaboration that would become Twists. Despite their age, the music they played came alive... and their lives would never be the same again. Fast forward to 2006 and Twists has developed into an all out phenomenon in the Boston area. College students come out in droves to their club shows at venues like the legendary Middle East... high school students beg for Twists to come to their school to play and share the MP3's they downloaded with everyone they know... Twists has sparked an all out revolution in the Northeast, as well as starting the fire in Los Angeles and Orange County California with performances at venues like The legendary Viper Room. Their unique fusion of Hardcore, melodic rock, reggae, emo, and indie rock has struck a chord with generation XY. The fire created at their shows and online through myspace and other sites is spreading quickly, and has already planted the seed for an all out Twists revolution through the United States. At this point, only one question remains.....will you join the revolution or wait until it's too late? Twists debut E.P. "the Linguring elements of.." is the culmination of the band's hard work and talent. The album features 6 songs recorded in the band's home town of Boston that showcase the range of the group. From "Tallu", a fan favorite with a mellow reggae feel to "24" a full on rock assault, the band displays emotion in every track. "Beirut" is the story of the last night spent with a friend before his passing...... this is the soundtrack to life in the band's shoes. It is impossible not to feel moved when listening to "the lingering elements of..". Welcome to the age of Twists.
