Singer, songwriter, performing artist, Terri Marie, has been singing her heart out at various Restaurants, Nightclubs, Coffee Houses and other venues across the western states. Originally from Chicago, with roots in R&B, influences include Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee and Ray Charles, as well as 60's artists, Joni Mitchell, Mamas & Papas, Beatles, and Van Morrison, to name a few. She started out as a guitarist in an all-girl band in the 60's, then ventured out playing electric bass with various bands. Leaving Chicago with a yearning to go west, she performed in Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Utah and Oregon, both as a solo act and occasionally with other musicians. Terri enjoys a variety of music, but tends to lean towards jazzy blues with some folk flavoring in live performances. Multi-talented, she also plays some harmonica, and soothes the soul with her Native American flute. She loves to sing and finds numerous ways to accompany her vocals. Her son Frank Klepacki, provided excellent & tasteful percussion and keyboards while recording and producing her CD, 'Time to Fly'. Terri enjoys writing about life and how she feels it should be. A few of her tunes give you 'instant gratification by transporting you to a dreamy place' and 'float on your brain waves like a raft on the clouds'.
