'...Finding gigs and selling albums won't be too tough for these guys, because their sound rocks. Powerful melodic vocals combine with face-melting leads and an unmatched rhythm section make success inevitable' ~Whatzup Magazine Teays Vein (tay-ez vane) Life is never as simple as it first appears. Rock 'n' rollers can look conservative in New York, eccentric in a town such as Berne, Indiana, home base for Teays Vein. Who would expect a band that plays with such power, emotion and the sheer joy of performing could come from a town of factory workers and farmers, where art and music take a distant second to 'traditional values'? Teays Vein. It's their world and welcome to it. Years of hard playing have created a band with a Midwestern work ethic and a universal taste for life. Seth, Clint, Eric, Robert and Aaron may look like they're lost in their own worlds up on stage, but their music cuts deep and sharp and audiences leave the show pleasantly exhausted and aware they've heard an honest-to-god rock 'n' roll band. Like their musical influences (too varied to name, but everyone digs Jeff Buckley and Tool), there isn't a false note or an out-of-place lyric. On rhythm guitar, Eric is the catalyst for new songs. Robert on bass and Clint on drums provide a solid foundation. Lead guitarist Seth takes over the melody and Aaron adds the words, with help from everybody. When they cover other artists, they cover the bejesus out of them. That's Teays Vein. It hurts so good. One wintry night a few years ago, in a smoky club somewhere, Aaron took the mic, walked into the audience, and sang the opening words from 'Fear the Gun': After tonight After your moments gone and you are all alone And you see what you've become You carry on. That night, Teays Vein was born again. Aaron still wanders audiences like a lost soul. The guys still play hard and fast and like their lives depend on it. You know something? They do.
