From the church into the living room! H.A Brorson\'s psalms in 12 modern electronic interpretations, build upon norwegian religious folk tunes. The vision has been to bring the music and psalms into the time of today. To carry them from the church into the living room. We decided to build up a hole new soundscape and combine it with more classical arrangements. Still true to the original melodies from the 17th century, we wanted to create a new compositional form, and in a high tech studio production to experiment in combining different musical platforms. The folk tunes come from ordinary peoples need to spontaneously express their spirituality. This gives the melodies a strong touch of origin. Across time the CD unite elements from various sides: The middle ages gregorian hymn, tibetan singing bowls, cello, choir, and the electro acoustic possibilities for acoustic manipulation and ambient soundscapes.
